Free markets and Housing Policy in Ireland

Prior to the spread of Covid-19 the prevalence with which government decision making was influenced by free market ideology was unbalanced and often came at the expense of fairness. Following the global pandemic many Western governments had to enact unprecedented policies to ensure households and businesses where supported during restricted living conditions, which had been imposed to stop the spread of the virus.
